Christian Education is
a central part of Christian Life at Suffolk Presbyterian Church.
We have programs for toddlers through adults.
Sunday School is the cornerstone of our Christian Formation program:
- Suffolk Presbyterian Church has professional nursery attendants
to assist congregational volunteers during Sunday School
- Preschool and Kindergarten students learn Bible
stories and get a light snack each week
- Youth and residents of the Zuni
Presbyterian Homes explore
new topics each month through art, cooking, computers, drama,
video, and games. Topics have included the Good Samaritan, Paul's
Conversion, Jacob and Esau, Joseph, as well as the Christmas
and Easter stories.
- Teens have a Bible study class that covers key people
and issues in the Bible and how they bear on their own lives.
Teens learn that the issues they face day to day have real answers
in Christ.
- Sunday school isn't just for kids! Suffolk Presbyterian Church
has two tracks available for adults - a lectionary-based
program that incorporates current events and the arts into bible
study, and a reading-group-style program that uses different
books and multimedia resources to explore Christian themes.
We also have other programs in which to grow your understanding
of Christ, such as mid-week Bible Study and spiritual formation
sessions, and multi-church Vacation Bible School during the summer.
